"Never Blend In" Bracelet - Available Now

Feature: Harvey Milk wristbands: Never Blend In - Blue on White.

Like the yellow bracelet that encourages us to unite against cancer, this white bracelet encourages all of us to stand together against tyrannies of the majority, wherever they may occur and whether they affect us personally or not. Wear this bracelet to communicate your belief that the law should not be leveraged by a majority to prohibit the peaceful activities of a minority – or used to force minorities to "blend in".

Note: All proceeds from the bracelets will be used to 1) make more of them 2) pay for hosting of this site 3) give to a charity who will further our cause.

Never Blend In

Minorities of all types have always been in the front lines of the battle for equality under the law. The message and color of the white bracelet honors the life and name of Harvey Milk, who like Martin Luther King was a minority leader whose message of hope transcended the issues of his day. 30 years ago, in perhaps his most important victory, Milk campaigned against The Briggs Initiative, which sought to ban openly gay and lesbian teachers from public schools in California. Because of his fight and the support of millions of voters, Proposition 6 was defeated at the polls in November 1978. His assassination later that same month saddened many across the political spectrum and silenced an important political voice. Harvey Milk would have celebrated his 78th birthday in 2008.

IT'S HARD TO REMOVE THE "ASS" FROM "ASSIMILATION!"

One of the great things about getting older is that you care less about petty things like A-List approval or mainstream acceptance. That leads me to the topic that I wish to discuss - and ALL the issues connected to it.

ASSIMILATION.

Wikipedia online defines assimilation:

"Cultural assimilation is the adoption by an individual of some or all aspects of a dominant culture. Cultural assimilation is a process of socialization. It can be a voluntary process,… Continue

Very Sad

One of the saddest things in the world is the fact that some people either are too affraid, or too ashamed to post their picture on a web site like this.
